What A Thing - Keeping Culture Consistent In Your Startup | 12:00 - 1:30 PM
We don't celebrate enough anymore. Especially at work. Rituals and ceremony have lost their importance to more meetings that are supposed to make our hearts feel fulfilled. We need cultures that remember we're people. Especially in startups. Didn't we get into this game because we were passionate? Where did those feelings go?

At PelotonU we have a student retention rate 5X better than any other college option for full-time working adults in Austin. We'll teach you what our secret sauce is, and how you can apply it to your startup to keep your team with you through the ups and downs, including tip and tricks to invest in culture when you’re strapped for time and cash.

This looks different for each team, but the principles are the same. Join us to discover:

- How to identify your team's jam-language
- What kind of celebration matters for your people
- Why rituals and ceremony make for giddy and more productive people

Bottom line, it's all about creating small moments in the week where you and your team pause, look up from the work, grin, and whisper: "What a thing - what a thing to be a part of on a day like today."

Let's do more of that.

How Maggie Louise Confections Combines Design Expertise with e-Commerce to Create Unique Chocolate Experiences

Join us at our East Austin boutique and participate in an exclusive tour of our chocolate kitchen for an inside look at our artisan chocolate process. Then, sample our sweets while we share insights and lessons learned from the launch of our MLC Studio, an interactive online feature where clients customize their own chocolate boxes.

Austin Startup Week is supported in part by Capital FactoryTechstarsGalvanize, and Janik Vinnakota LLP. If you see someone from their teams, give them a hug and hi-five!
