Come early for Built In's Start Up Connect, then grab a beverage and rock the night away with fellow ATC members and Austinites at The Mohawk! ATC member company bands will perform and compete for cool prizes, and the night will be wrapped up with a local band as the headliner. Get ready to shake your groove thing!

If so, the UK Department for International Trade’s High Tea during Austin Startup Week is a perfect opportunity for your company to explore why the UK is a prime location to set up their next office. During the high tea, companies will have an opportunity to hear from UK Government, industry and fellow Austin companies who have made the jump across the pond. Discussion will focus on the strengths of opening an office in the UK, the ease of doing business and other commonly asked questions about doing business abroad.

Lowenstein Sandler, Umbel and NextGen Venture Partners are co-hosting VentureCrushATX for Startup Week, which will be held at Umbel’s offices (Seaholm Power Plant) on Tuesday, October 4th with check-in starting at 5:30pm and events starting at 6pm.
The first panel is titled “Mistakes Startups Make” and will address how to avoid common pitfalls from a legal, fundraising and business perspective. The second panel is titled “How Startups Should Think About Cybersecurity” and will address integration of cybersecurity into a startup and customer expectations in B2B and B2C transactions. Current panelist include speakers from Umbel, NextGen Venture Partners, Google, Manifest and Lowenstein Sandler.
Guero’s Taco Bar will serve tacos, beer and wine.
Similar VentureCrushATX events will be held quarterly to bring together tech industry founders, key operators, angels and VCs with the goal of helping to strengthen the Austin startup ecosystem.
