Originally from Mexico, Laura is an experienced business leader and technology strategist with a passion driving digital transformations. With more than 20+ years of experience, Laura has worked with companies ranging from small to Fortune 250, across multiple industries including non-profit.Laura is the Technology Division Director at TASB acting as IT Chief of Staff and is leading the Software Development and PMO teams. Laura founded ATX Data Rocks, it provides advisory services to small and startup. At Jacobs Engineering, Laura built the Global Business Insights & Enterprise Architecture teams from ground up. Before that, she led the US Enterprise Applications and Business Intelligence teams at Tokyo Electron. While in Mexico, Laura managed the IT group at a branch of the French company, Sanofi. She started her career as consultant with Ernst & Young.Laura obtained her MBA and BS in Computer Science at Monterrey Tech ITESM in Mexico. She is part of the CIS Texas State Board of Advisors and sits on the Innotech Advisory Counsel. She is committed to support STEM education and speaks at Schools and local events in Austin to promote STEM education.
