Texas Kids Read is a local non-profit supporting early childhood literacy. We are 100% volunteer driven. We are currently working with two elementary schools in the Austin ISD, Ortega and Pleasant Hill Elementary Schools. These two schools have 800 students and during the last two school years we gave away approximately 9,000 books to the students. We do not charge the parents or the schools for anything. Currently Texas Kids Read is looking to expand to more schools and facilities.
