Lisa Pearson is the President of Umbel where she oversees Sales,
Marketing, Client Service, Business Development and Product Management.

With 20+ years’ experience, Pearson built a reputation of driving strategy and
performance for global companies, with deep expertise in marketing,
business development, sales, client services and product development. She’s
held the title of CMO for a public company; served as a partner in a venture
development group; is an agency principal and an active board member.
She’s seasoned in scaling SaaS companies and building global businesses.

Prior to Umbel, Pearson served as Chief Marketing Officer of Bazaarvoice
and was a member of the leadership team who took the company public in

During her time at Bazaarvoice, the company attained revenue growth from
$25M to $200M, which she supported by leading the company’s pivot from e-commerce into Fortune 500 companies. Headquartered in Austin, Texas,
Bazaarvoice has offices in Amsterdam, London, Munich, New York, Paris,
San Francisco, Singapore, Stockholm, Sydney and Tokyo.

Prior to Bazaarvoice, Pearson held several executive positions at WPP and
IPG agencies in NYC and San Francisco. For 15+ years, she conducted
award-winning marketing and corporate strategy for global companies
including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Yahoo!, ABSOLUT,
American Express, IBM, PepsiCo and many other household names.

An early advocate of digital and social media, she established digital practice
areas at two highly regarded global agencies, one of which, under her
leadership, was acquired by Havas, the multinational advertising holding
company headquartered in Paris, to round our their digital capabilities.

Pearson spent three years in marketing for American Express Platinum Card
developing By Invitation Only®, their loyalty program with a focus on sports
and entertainment.

She led marketing for Restaurant Associates, a global hospitality group,
and managed all marketing for their LBO.

A thought leader on digital strategy, data and millennial purchasing behaviors,
she’s a frequent speaker at SXSW (5x), InternetWeek, DMEXCO, AdWeek
and many high profile customer conferences.

She currently serves on the board of directors for Alert Logic, a leading
cloud-based data security company. She is the founding chairman of the
board of Flow Nonfiction, a documentary filmmaking company focused on
socially responsible businesses. Previously, she served as a board member
for Foodline LLC, an internet software company, where investors included
American Express, Zagat and Ticketmaster.

Pearson earned a BA from Tulane University.
